The Department of English is committed to providing quality education in English language while promoting the holistic development of students. The department aims to develop students' proficiency in English, literary appreciation, communication skills, critical thinking, creativity, confidence, digital literacy and employability skills. Through learner-centred teaching practices such as classroom interaction, group discussions, seminars, presentations, debates, workshops, assignments, language activities, and digital learning, students are encouraged to develop effective communication skills and independent thinking. The department also promotes awareness of diverse cultures, ideas, social issues and contemporary developments through the study of English language. The integration of ICT, digital resources, and emerging technologies, supports innovative and self-directed learning. The department strives to nurture confident, creative, responsible, and employable learners who are prepared for higher education, competitive examinations, employment, and responsible citizenship.
